Pedro Geromel joins Gremio on loan

Brazilian centre-back Pedro Geromel has joined Gremio from Spanish side Real Mallorca on loan.

The 28-year-old, who was relegated from La Liga with Mallorca last season, is due in Porto Alegre next week where he will undergo a medical.

The defender has previously played for German outfit Cologne, but will now return to South America, where he started his career.

Geromel will join the Brazilian side on loan until the completion of his Mallorca contract, when he is expected to sign a permanent deal.
