Karagounis: 'Each game is a final'

Greece midfielder Giorgos Karagounis has said that he and his teammates must treat each game like a cup final at Euro 2012.

Karagounis, who was a central figure in the Greek side that won Euro 2004, admits that the one-time winners cannot afford to make a single mistake since there are so few games.

"In such a tournament, each game is a final," he said. "Since there are so few games, no mistakes are allowed.

"We know the capabilities of this team, I hope that we will demonstrate our potentials tomorrow on the pitch.

"We want to give as much happiness to Greek people as possible."

Greece kick off Euro 2012 against co-hosts Poland this afternoon.
