Granada and Athletic Bilbao fail to score in 0-0 draw

Ten-man Granada and Athletic Bilbao fail to take their chances in 0-0 La Liga draw.

Granada failed to take their chances as they drew 0-0 at home to Athletic Bilbao in La Liga this evening.

Bilbao made a good start but it was Granada who had the first chance of the match through Adrian Colunga, whose shot narrowly went wide minutes before Piti forced keeper Gorka Iraizoz into a smart save.

Bilbao will feel that they should have taken the lead when Aritz Aduriz had a free header which he directed wide, before Iraizoz was forced into another smart save to stop Babin from finding the top corner.

Piti and Daniel Candeias had further chances for the hosts in the second half, but they were soon down to 10 men when Emanuel Insua was shown a straight red card for a dangerous tackle.

Granada still had the best chance to win the match as Piti was left unmarked at the back post, but he drove Robert Ibanez's cross onto the post.
