Cristhian Stuani was denied a late winner for the visitors by Kevin Rodrigues’ block.

Neither side managed to create a clear chance in the first half before they shared fine opportunities after the break.

First, Bounou came to Girona’s rescue with 20 minutes to go when he tipped Sandro’s low effort onto the woodwork and then turned Oyarzabal’s strike from the angle wide.

With a minute left Rodrigues produced an excellent tackle to thwart eight-goal Stuani.
