Gillingham midfielder Jake Hessenthaler has extended his stay at the Priestfield Stadium until 2019.
Hessenthaler, the son of the club's former boss Andy, is a product of the youth academy at the League One outfit.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the Gills in November and has since gone on to make 10 senior appearances.
His other taste of first-team football came last season at Conference Premier side Tamworth.
