Germany boss Hansi Flick has included Julian Weigl and uncapped midfielder Anton Stach in his 26-man squad for their upcoming friendly games against Israel and the Netherlands.

Germany head coach Hansi Flick has named a 26-man squad ahead of this month's international friendly fixtures against Israel and the Netherlands.

Flick has handed 23-year-old Mainz 05 midfielder Anton Stach his first senior call-up, while Benfica's Julian Weigl will join up with Die Mannschaft for the first time in five years.

Six Bayern Munich players – Manuel Neuer, Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane – all retain their places in the squad, but Niklas Sule and Leon Goretzka have both been left out due to respective hamstring and knee injuries.

Borussia Dortmund duo Marco Reus and Julian Brandt also miss out on this occasion, while goalkeeper Bernd Leno, Jonas Hofmann and Florian Wirtz have all been omitted from the squad, the latter suffering with an ACL injury.

Along with Stach and Weigl, Benjamin Henrichs, Robin Koch, Jonathan Tah and Timo Werner have all been included in Flick's squad.

Flick has won each of his first seven matches in charge of Germany since replacing Joachim Loew in September last year, and the 57-year-old will be hoping to extend his perfect record with victories over Israel and the Netherlands.

Die Mannschaft will face Israel in Sinsheim on March 26, before travelling to the Amsterdam ArenA to face the Netherlands three days later.

Germany's 26-man squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona), Kevin Trapp (Eintracht Frankfurt)

Defenders: Matthias Ginter (Borussia Monchengladbach), Christian Gunter (Freiburg), Benjamin Henrichs (RB Leipzig), Thilo Kehrer (Paris Saint-Germain), Robin Koch (Leeds United), David Raum (Hoffenheim), Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea), Nico Schlotterbeck (Freiburg), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)

Midfielders/Attackers: Karim Adeyemi (Red Bull Salzburg), Julian Draxler (Paris Saint-Germain), Serge Gnabry (Bayern Munich), Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City), Kai Havertz (Chelsea), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich), Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich), Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich), Florian Neuhaus (Borussia Monchengladbach), Lukas Nmecha (Wolfsburg), Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich), Anton Stach (Mainz 05), Julian Wiegl (Benfica), Timo Werner (Chelsea)
