Genoa have avoided relegation on the final day of the Serie A season with a 2-0 victory over Palermo at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
After a goalless first half, the hosts took the lead on 52 minutes through Alberto Gilardino's strike.
Genoa continued to push for a second, but Bosko Jankovic and Nicolas Bertolo were both unsuccessful.
However, the win was sealed with 20 minutes to play as Giuseppe Sculli found the net after good work from Gilardino.
