QPR step up Zamora pursuit

Queens Park Rangers are believed to have set the wheels in motion for a transfer for Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a switch to Loftus Road, while Aston Villa has also been named as a possible destination for the England international.

It is thought that QPR have swooped in following a dispute between Zamora and Cottagers boss Martin Jol, according to the Daily Mail.

Rangers could become favourites to land the frontman following reports that they are willing to match, or possibly better, his £45,000-a-week wage packet.
