Fulham keen on Sergio Canales?

Fulham reportedly join Premier League rivals Everton in the race to sign Valencia midfielder Sergio Canales on loan.

Fulham have reportedly joined the race to sign Valencia midfielder Sergio Canales.

The 22-year-old has made 24 first-team appearances for Valencia this season, but the La Liga outfit are said to be open the idea of allowing him to leave on loan.

Everton have been linked with a potential move for Canales, but, according to The Mirror, Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen is also very keen on the former Real Madrid man and is planning to make an offer for him before the end of the month.

Canales has represented Spain at six different age levels, scoring six goals in 10 games for the Under-21s.
