Brede Hangeland has declared that his Fulham teammates need to show character in order to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The Cottagers' 3-0 loss at home to Southampton last weekend sent them to the foot of the table, while Sheffield United added to manager Rene Meulensteen's problems by knocking the West London outfit out of the FA Cup in the week.
Despite the club's struggles, the Norwegian defender is refusing to wave the white flag.
"It's about character now and who's up for the fight," Hangeland is quoted as saying by SportsDirect News. "There's a lot of good guys in the dressing room who really care about this, so I'm hoping we have enough."
Fulham are currently four points adrift of safety, a gap they will be looking to close when they travel to Old Trafford on Sunday.
