Fulham vs. Hull City - prediction, team news, lineups

Fulham play host to Hull City on Saturday afternoon having set the standard in their opening three Championship fixtures.

While the Cottagers head into this game on the back of successive victories, the Tigers travel to Craven Cottage having suffered two defeats in a row.

Match preview

After failing to see out the game with Middlesbrough on the opening day of the season, Marco Silva may have had concerns about the mentality of his squad.

However, any lingering thoughts were quickly put to bed by two strong away performances at Huddersfield Town and Millwall over a 72-hour period.

A 2-1 triumph at the Lions suggests that Fulham were far less convincing at The Den, but the West Londoners were several classes above their city rivals.

Eighteen-year-old Fabio Carvalho continues to be a revelation in a creative role, while Aleksandar Mitrovic remains the vital spearhead of the attack at a time when he is being linked with other clubs.

With Neeskens Kebano also looking like a player reborn after an unproductive spell on loan at Middlesbrough, everything at Fulham is trending in the right direction.

The same cannot be said of their opponents, who have failed to build on their stunning 4-1 success at Preston North End in their first game back at this level.

Despite being presented with back-to-back home fixtures against Queens Park Rangers and Derby County, Hull succumbed 3-0 and 1-0 respectively at the KCOM Stadium.

While Grant McCann will not be too concerned at this stage of the season, a trip to Fulham has come at the wrong time as they bid to get back on track.

McCann has used as many as 20 players across three matches, meaning that there is every chance that mass changes could be on the way at the weekend.

Team News

Fulham remain without winger Harry Wilson, who will serve the second of the three-match suspension for his dismissal at Huddersfield.

Andre-Frank Anguissa could replace the injured Josh Onomah in what could prove to be the only alteration to the side which defeated Millwall.

Huddlestone may be given an opportunity in the Hull midfield, taking the spot of either Richard Smallwood or Greg Docherty.

Tom Eaves is also an option in attack, either as a replacement for Josh Magennis or as part of a two-man forward line if McCann opts for a change in tactics.

George Moncur remains sidelined through suspension, but Ryan Longman could return after a groin injury.

Fulham possible starting lineup:

Gazzaniga; Tete, Adarabioyo, Ream, Robinson; Seri, Anguissa; Kebano, Carvalho, Cavaleiro; Mitrovic

Hull City possible starting lineup:

Ingram; Coyle, Jones, Greaves, Elder; Smallwood, Huddlestone; Williams, Smith, Lewis-Potter; Magennis

We say: Fulham 3-0 Hull City

This game has one-way traffic written all over it. While Hull will feel that they can play with a sense of freedom in West London, Fulham will be difficult to stop in their current form.
