Alan Curbishley 'takes Fulham training' following Kit Symons sacking

A report claims that Alan Curbishley has been tasked with leading Fulham's training sessions while the club ups its search for a new permanent manager.

Alan Curbishley will reportedly oversee training duties at Fulham while the club continues to search for a new manager.

The Cottagers, currently 12th in the Championship, sacked Kit Symons on Sunday following an indifferent start to the campaign.

According to Sky Sports News, Fulham are confident that a new man will be in place prior to their next outing in two weeks' time, although there are no plans to put anyone in temporary charge.

It is also claimed that there are no preferred candidates at this stage, with Nigel Pearson already being heavily linked with the vacant role, while chief football officer Mike Rigg has been tasked with leading the search.

Former Charlton Athletic and West Ham United boss Curbishley, who joined the West London outfit's coaching staff for a second time earlier this year, will continue to take training until an appointment is officially made.
