Christian Karembeu: 'I was scared inside Stade de France'

Christian Karembeu has said that being inside the Stade de France on Friday night was the first time that he has been scared in a stadium.

The former France international was watching Les Bleus' match against Germany when an explosion was heard outside the ground.

"Step by step we heard some information and we were shocked about what was happening outside the stadium," Karembeu told ITV Sport.

"We were inside and couldn't go outside. It was the first time I have been scared and have felt fear inside a stadium.

"Usually we share fun with the crowd, but I could only think about my family."

At least 129 people were killed in a series of attacks across Paris.
