Laurent Blanc criticises Samir Nasri for verbal outburst

France coach Laurent Blanc has reproached Samir Nasri for showing "a lack of respect" towards a journalist last night.

Following France's 2-0 loss to Spain in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012, Manchester City midfielder Nasri was heard launching verbal abuse at a reporter that had asked him to answer some questions.

Discussing the incident on French television earlier today, Blanc described Nasri's actions as "unfortunate".

"It's a lack of respect toward the journalist," Blanc told Telefoot. "I told [Nasri] what I thought of it and what I would have done in his place. It's very unfortunate."

The French Football Federation are yet comment on the situation.
