League One side Fleetwood Town have promoted assistant manager Chris Lucketti to caretaker manager after the dismissal of Graham Alexander on Wednesday.
The 44-year-old played with and worked alongside Alexander at Preston North End before joining him at Highbury.
A statement on the official Fleetwood website confirmed that Lucketti will take charge of Saturday's league clash away at Scunthorpe United.
The former Preston, Bury, Huddersfield Town and Sheffield United centre-back will be assisted in the dugout by Barry Nicholson.
