Fenerbahce 'confident of signing Manchester United's Robin van Persie'

Fenerbahce are reportedly confident that they will secure the signature of Manchester United striker Robin van Persie this summer.

The Netherlands international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after lack of form and injury plagued his campaign last season.

According to Sky Sports News, Fenerbahce's director Guiliano Terraneo touched down in London earlier this week to hold talks with United regarding Van Persie's availability.

The 31-year-old has one year remaining on his contract.
