Saturday's Major League Soccer predictions including LA Galaxy vs. Orlando City

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Major League Soccer fixtures, including LA Galaxy vs. Orlando City.

Cincinnati vs. Inter Miami (Saturday, 5.00pm)

After capturing his first victory as a Major League Soccer manager last week, Pat Noonan and FC Cincinnati return to TQL Stadium on Saturday with a chance to defeat Inter Miami for the first time in franchise history.

The Orange-and-Blue scored an early goal in both the first and second half to get past Orlando City 2-1, while the woes continue for the Herons, who have dropped back-to-back contests, losing 2-0 at home to Los Angeles FC.

We say: FC Cincinnati 1-0 Inter Miami

There seems to be a lot of dysfunction in Miami right now, and while Cincy have been poor at home, they have shown more balance and discipline than The Herons this season, so we expect to see them come out on top with a narrow victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

NY City vs. Philadelphia (Saturday, 5.00pm)

Saturday will feature a rematch of the 2021 Eastern Conference Final, as New York City FC play host to the Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer action at Yankee Stadium.

The reigning MLS Cup champions picked up their first win of the domestic campaign last weekend, defeating CF Montreal 4-1, while Philly remain unbeaten on the year after blanking the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0.

We say: New York City FC 1-1 Philadelphia Union

There is a reason why these sides both made it to the Eastern Conference Final a year ago, as they are both intelligent and talented, with plenty of quality on defence and in the attack.

The Pigeons are much more potent in the final third, but the Union are as poised and structurally sound defensively as any unit in MLS, and they should be more than capable of limiting the opportunities of New York.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Toronto vs. DC United (Saturday, 7.00pm)

Toronto head into this weekend still searching for their first victory of the new MLS regular season as they host DC United on Saturday at BMO Field.

The Reds failed to hold onto a half time lead on the road to the Columbus Crew, losing 2-1 in their previous encounter, while the Black-and-Red suffered their first defeat of 2022, 2-0 versus the Chicago Fire.

We say: Toronto 1-2 DC United

The Black-and-Red have had their way with Toronto in recent memory and given that right now TFC are hurting defensively with so many players who might not be 100% fit, Bob Bradley might have to wait a little longer for his first win with his new team.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

LA Galaxy vs. Orlando City (Saturday, 7.30pm)

Both looking to bounce back from defeats last weekend, Los Angeles Galaxy and Orlando City will do battle in California on Saturday.

After consecutive wins, the hosts suffered their first loss of the Major League Soccer campaign last time out, while their visitors have had a mixed start in the Eastern Conference.

We say: Los Angeles Galaxy 2-1 Orlando City

Given the quality in each of their ranks, we predict a close encounter on Saturday between two well-matched sides.

LA Galaxy have been slightly more convincing in the early stages of the campaign, and for that reason, alongside the benefit of home advantage, we fancy them to scrape a narrow win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Atlanta vs. Montreal (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Atlanta United can extend their unbeaten run at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to 10 straight games in Major League Soccer when they welcome CF Montreal to town on Saturday.

The Five Stripes got back to winning ways a week ago, edging Charlotte Independence 2-1, while Montreal are one of only two teams in the league who have yet to earn a point this season.

We say: Atlanta United 2-0 CF Montreal

Physically and mentally, Montreal appear drained and in desperate need of a break to regroup, while their defending so far is leaving a lot to be desired.

Atlanta still tend to give away some quality scoring opportunities, but that should not matter too much against a side low on confidence and likely pretty tired, with little time to rest, following a midweek encounter.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Chicago Fire vs. Kansas (Saturday, 10.00pm)

Having enjoyed a stellar pre-season, confidence was high for Chicago Fire heading into the new Major League Soccer season, but it has not clicked for the Fire just yet.

They will look to put a stuttering start to the season to an end when Sporting Kansas City visit Soldier Field on Saturday evening.

We say: Chicago Fire 2-0 Sporting Kansas City

Optimism was high around the Chicago Fire camp ahead of the campaign and while they may have struggled at times in their early-season matches, they do look to have hit a groove with the victory last time out.

For Sporting Kansas, they are yet to find their feet this season, making the hosts the more likely to take three points from this clash.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Charlotte vs. New England (Saturday, 11.00pm)

New England Revolution midfielder Emmanuel Boateng (11) celebrates after scoring a goal during the first half against the Real Salt Lake at Gillette Stadium on March 12, 2022© Reuters

It has not been the start to Major League Soccer that Charlotte FC would have wished for, with zero points on the board after three matches.

Their task as MLS newbies is about to get even more difficult, with Supporters' Shield holders New England Revolution the visitors on Saturday evening.

We say: Charlotte FC 0-3 New England Revolution

Two teams who could not be further apart off or on the pitch, the reigning Supporters' Shield holders will be eyeing up a comfortable win away to Charlotte this weekend.
