Report: Roberto Martinez to keep John Stones

Everton manager Roberto Martinez reportedly has no intention of allowing John Stones to leave the club this summer.

Recent speculation had claimed that the 19-year-old would spend the upcoming campaign on loan with a Championship side to gain experience.

However, having seen the defender in action during pre-season, new Toffees boss Martinez has told Stones that he is part of his plans, according to The People.

Martinez attempted to sign Stones when he was manager of Wigan Athletic back in January, but the former Barnsley full-back opted for a move to Goodison Park.
