Everton forward Steven Naismith refuses to rule out Rangers return

Everton's Steven Naismith says that he would "never rule anything out" when asked about a possible return to Rangers in the future.

Everton forward Steven Naismith has said that he loves playing for Everton, but refused to rule out a return to Rangers in the future.

The 28-year-old Scot was one of several players to leave the Glasgow club in 2012 when they went went into financial turmoil and emerged at the foot of Scottish football.

When asked if he thought he might return to Ibrox, Naismith told PA: "I don't know what will happen in the coming year never mind the future.

"At the moment I love playing for Everton. Since I've been there it's been a great adventure, from being a substitute and not having an impact to playing in most of the big games and having an impact.

"I love it at the moment but you never know things can change so quickly in football. I'd never rule anything out to be honest."

Rangers could be back in the Scottish top flight next season as they currently lie third in the Scottish Championship.
