Report: Everton plan to fight West Ham United for Angelo Ogbonna deal

Everton 'want Angelo Ogbonna deal'

Everton are hopeful of signing Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna this summer, according to reports.

The centre-back is expected to leave the Serie A champions in this window, and he has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham United.

However, the Liverpool Echo claims that Everton are firmly in the race to snap up the 27-year-old, who is expected to cost around £10m, as they eye up replacements for Sylvain Distin.

Ogbonna, who has 10 caps for Italy, joined Juventus in 2013.
