Niko Kovac 'denies being in frame for Everton job'

Former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac has reportedly denied that he is in the frame to become Everton's next manager.

The Croat has been out of a job since last month following Bayern's decision to sack him after a 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Everton, meanwhile, are on the search for a new permanent boss following Marco Silva's departure soon after a 5-2 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool.

According to Goal.com, Kovac has insisted that his presence at Everton's recent 3-1 win over Chelsea was part of a wider weekend of watching Premier League fixtures.

Having also watched the Manchester derby, Kovac is set to attend the London Stadium for Arsenal's trip to face West Ham United.

Reports have suggested that former manager David Moyes is leading the race to become Everton's next permanent manager.
