Everton defender Phil Jagielka refuses to give up on his side's quest of finishing in the top four.

Everton defender Phil Jagielka has refused to give up on his side's quest to finish in the top four this season.

Following their goalless draw with Arsenal, Everton are sixth in the Premier League just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, both of whom have games in hand.

"It's not over," Jagielka told Sky Sports News. "I said before that we need favours from other teams and that will still be the case.

"If we had lost tonight it would have been an even bigger hurdle for us to get over. We'll keep battling on. As long as we're in there for as long as possible we've had a good season."

Next up for Everton is a trip to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland on Saturday.
