Thomas Hitzlsperger starts for Everton's development squad

Former Germany international Thomas Hitzlsperger has been included in the Everton development team for tonight's encounter against Norwich City.

The midfielder has spent the past few days training with the Toffees as he looks to earn a permanent switch following his release from Wolfsburg at the end of last season.

It is not known when Everton manager David Moyes will make a decision regarding the 30-year-old's future at Goodison Park.

Senior players Sylvain Distin, Jan Mucha, Magaye Gueye and Apostolos Vellios have joined Hitzlsperger in the starting linuep at Carrow Road.
