Everton fined for Lascelles approach

Everton have been fined £45,000 by the Football Association for their "unauthorised approach" to Jamaal Lascelles in 2010.

The Premier League club breached the FA's Football Agent Regulations by making contact with the 20-year-old and his representative while he was under a scholarship agreement with Nottingham Forest.

Lascelles, who still plays for Forest, has been "severely warned" of his future conduct by English football's governing body.

Meanwhile, the player's agent at the time, Andy Niedzwiecki, has been hit with a £10,000 fine.
