Thomas Tuchel's first England starting XI revealed as Marcus Rashford, Myles Lewis-Skelly decisions made

Tuchel's first England XI confirmed! Have Rashford, Lewis-Skelly made the cut?

England boss Thomas Tuchel has named his first starting lineup as Three Lions boss for Friday's World Cup 2026 qualifier against Albania.

The former Bayern Munich and Chelsea boss has seemingly gone with either a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 shape for his maiden match at Wembley, where Marcus Rashford has been given the nod in the final third.

The Aston Villa loanee joins Phil Foden and Harry Kane in attack, while Jude Bellingham could function as the most advanced midfielder ahead of Curtis Jones and Declan Rice.

Further back, the newly called-up Myles Lewis-Skelly and Dan Burn are both in from the start for their full England debuts, and Tuchel has also sided with Ezri Konsa over Marc Guehi in defence.

Veteran right-back Kyle Walker has been given the nod over Reece James and Tino Livramento, while undisputed number one Jordan Pickford unsurprisingly starts in between the posts.

As reported earlier on Friday, Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah and Nottingham Forest attacker Morgan Gibbs-White have all been left out of Tuchel's matchday squad.

England lineup: Pickford; Walker, Konsa, Burn, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Jones; Foden, Bellingham, Rashford; Kane

Subs: Trafford, D. Henderson, James, Guehi, Colwill, Livramento, J. Henderson, Rogers, Eze, Gordon, Solanke, Bowen

Albania lineup: Strakosha; Balliu, Ajeti, Djimsiti, Aliji; Asllani, Ramadani; Asani, Laci, Bajrami; Uzuni

Subs: Kastrasi, Sherri, Shehu, Manaj, Mihaj, Kumbulla, Berisha, Muci, Ismajli, Pajaziti, Hoxha, Broja
