Team News: Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole return to England lineup

Steven Gerrard has taken back the captain's armband for England's crucial World Cup qualifier against Montenegro.

The midfielder was dropped for the Three Lions' 8-0 thrashing of San Marino on Friday, which paved the way for Frank Lampard to lead the side out.

The Chelsea midfielder has since dropped out of the side for this evening's encounter, while Ashley Cole replaces Leightin Baines at full-back as England eye maximum points.

James Milner also enters the fray, while Wayne Rooney is joined by Manchester United teammate Danny Welbeck up front.
