Sol Campbell: 'UEFA should deduct points for racist behaviour'

Campbell: 'Deduct points for racism'

Former England international Sol Campbell has said that teams should lose points for racist behaviour from the crowd.

England Under-21 defender Danny Rose was the target of apparent racist abuse from Serbia fans earlier this week.

Campbell told BBC Radio 5 Live: "For me it was just disgusting, I really felt for him and I felt for the players out there because everyone concerned with England must have felt it.

"I think [UEFA should deduct] points and then after a while when you stop qualifying for these competitions I think people will start to wake up.

"I'd love UEFA or FIFA to do something about it but I honestly believe they're not going to do anything."

UEFA have charged both sides for improper conduct, and Serbia for alleged racist chanting from fans.
