Welbeck nets first goal for England

Danny Welbeck scored his first goal for the senior England side against Belgium this afternoon.

The 21-year-old collected possession from his Manchester United teammate Ashley Young before lifting the ball over Simon Mignolet in the away goal.

The opening strike of Welbeck's international career arrived on his fifth outing for the Three Lions.

He made his debut for England in March 2011 against Ghana when he came on as a substitute for Young.
