Team News: England unchanged for Euro 2016 clash against Wales in Lens

England unchanged for Wales clash

England manager Roy Hodgson has named an unchanged lineup for this afternoon's Group B clash against Wales in Lens at Euro 2016.

The same team came close to earning a victory over Russia when Eric Dier scored from a free kick in Marseille last Saturday, but they were restricted to a 1-1 draw when Vasili Berezutski struck in the 92nd minute.

Despite featuring heavily in the pre-tournament friendlies, Jamie Vardy did not play in the opening group match, and he starts on the bench once again this afternoon.

Harry Kane is selected as the main attacking threat, with Adam Lallana and Raheem Sterling providing support, while captain Wayne Rooney sits just behind in midfield.

As for Wales, manager Chris Coleman has made three changes to the side that sealed a 2-1 victory over Slovakia last weekend.

Joe Ledley, who took just four weeks to recover from a broken leg, gets the nod to start, while goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey returns to the lineup after recovering from a back spasm.

Hal Robson-Kanu, who netted the winning goal against Slovakia, is also rewarded with a starting spot, while Danny Ward, Dave Edwards and Jonny Williams drop to the bench.

England: Hart; Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Rose; Dier, Rooney, Alli; Lallana, Kane, Sterling

Wales: Hennessey; Davies, Williams, Chester; Taylor, Ledley, Allen, Gunter; Ramsey, Bale; Robson-Kanu
