Rashford, Sturridge to make England cut?

Roy Hodgson is considering whether to select both Marcus Rashford and Daniel Sturridge in England's 23-man squad for Euro 2016, according to a report.

It had been widely considered that the two strikers were locked in a straight shootout for the final position in the Three Lions side, ahead of the trip to France early next month.

However, The Telegraph reports that Manchester United youngster Rashford - who has just put pen to paper on a new deal at Old Trafford - and injury-prone Liverpool man Sturridge could still both form a part of the England squad.

Hodgson must cut down his party to 23 members by Tuesday evening's deadline, with Andros Townsend, Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater thought to be most vulnerable to being axed.

Rashford found the net with his first shot as an England player against Australia on Friday evening, becoming the youngest Three Lions debutant to do so, while Sturridge sat that match out through injury.
