Peter Taylor backs England youngsters to shine at U21 Euros

Former boss Peter Taylor insists that England Under-21s have a "good chance" of winning this year's Euro 2015 tournament, thanks to their star-studded attack line.

Peter Taylor has said that he believes the striking power among England Under-21s' ranks could fire them to Euro glory this summer.

The Young Lions kick off their U21 Euro 2015 campaign a week today when they take on Portugal in the Czech Republic.

Despite failing to taste success in the competition for 31 years, former boss Taylor is confident that England can go all the way this time around.

"England have a good chance, we're getting better and still producing players," he told BBC Sport. "More importantly, there is communication between the clubs and the FA now.

"Usually we get to tournaments and don't take the strongest team but this time it's one of our strongest teams. I fancy our chances and in Danny Ings, Harry Kane and Saido Berahino we have players who can score a goal."

England take on Belarus this evening in their final warm-up game before the tournament gets underway.
