John Stones doubtful for Portugal clash with concussion

England Under-21s defender John Stones is a major doubt for his side's Under-21 European Championship clash with Portugal on Thursday evening.

Stones, who has 11 caps for Gareth Southgate's team, suffered a possible concussion during training on Tuesday and is currently being assessed by the medical team.

According to Sky Sports News, Stones's absence from training on Wednesday is precautionary, but other media outlets suggest that the Everton player is expected to have to sit out the match in Uherske Hradiste.
