Elfsborg striker Simon Hedlund has suffered a punctured lung after chesting the ball to a teammate during his side's 1-0 win over Kalmar.
The 20-year-old was taken off the pitch on a stretcher and was taken to hospital after complaining of chest pains and breathlessness.
"He had pains in his chest when he took deep breaths but nothing indicated that it was anything more serious," club physio Susanne Malby told Sportbladet.
Hedlund came on as a substitute during Wednesday's goalless draw with Celtic.
