Eintracht Frankfurt put four past lowly SC Paderborn

Eintracht Frankfurt claim a resounding 4-0 victory over SC Paderborn in the Bundesliga to further their ambitions for European qualification this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt furthered their ambitions to qualify for Europe come the end of the season with a 4-0 victory over strugglers SC Paderborn in the Bundesliga this afternoon.

Frankfurt looked to show some early intent through Carlos Zambrano, whose header forced an impressive stop from Lukas Kruse at his top-left corner of goal.

The home side went ahead in the 27th minute through Alexander Meier, who made use of an enterprising ball from Marc Stendera to head past Kruse and make it 1-0 to Eintracht.

Frankfurt moved into a two-goal lead three minutes before the end of the first half when Meier picked out Stendera, leaving the midfielder to finish into the bottom-left corner.

The hosts cemented the three points early in the second half as Stefan Aigner made it 3-0 with a precise finish after latching onto Takashi Inui's through ball.

Frankfurt made it 4-0 with just under 10 minutes to play thanks to Nelson Valdez, who was found by Inui before lashing high into the centre of goal.
