Dunfermline Athletic release 11 players

Dunfermline Athletic have made 11 players redundant with immediate effect following talks at East End Park.

Eight of those are from the first-team squad, while three are youth-team members.

The financially-stricken Scottish First Division club were put into interim administration on Wednesday.

One player known to have had his contract terminated is captain Jordan McMillan.

McMillan tweeted: "The news is true i have been made redundant with immediate affect but loved my time at club as #captain hope boys do well rest of season."

It is not yet clear who else has been released by the club.
