Dunfermline go into interim administration

Scottish First Division side Dunfermline Athletic have been granted an interim order by the Court of Session to put the company into administration.

The club made the request yesterday afternoon after it had been decided that they could not afford to pay the £134,000 debt that they owe to HM Revenue and Customs.

Lord Hodge has since pushed through the order and he has set a date of Tuesday, April 9, when a decision will be made regarding full administration.

Enough funds have been raised to appoint PKF as administrators.
