Kenny Miller and Paul McGowan earned Dundee a point.

Dundee manager Jim McIntyre feels that his side are beginning to gain momentum after their stunning comeback at Hibernian.

The Ladbrokes Premiership's bottom side shipped two early goals at Easter Road, the first coming after just 29 seconds, and looked to be blown aside until Kenny Miller halved the deficit before half-time.

Paul McGowan then scored the equaliser two minutes after the restart, on his first start since September due to a groin issue, to earn McIntyre's men a 2-2 draw.

McIntyre said: "We've got Paul McGowan playing his first game for a number of weeks. Martin Woods, who hasn't trained in a team environment for over five months until he came here.

"These boys are still getting up to speed, so the effort that they put in was superb.

"Paul McGowan has always had that ability. He's two or three seconds ahead of people upstairs, but he's got to do things nice and sharp when he gets in to those areas."

It's that kind of character and spirit which McIntyre feels is necessary to improve.

"We've got good players, we can't doubt or feel sorry for ourselves when we go behind," he said.

"I've been seeing on a daily basis that we're getting better and better and taking on the information that we're giving them. This is the way we want to play.

"We want to play at that tempo, we want to make sure that we're putting teams under pressure and getting in their face."

Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon feels that a lack of ruthless finishing is leading to the team's poor run of form.

The draw now means that the Hibees have gone five games without victory, their longest run of games without a win under Lennon.

The result would have been more frustrating considering rivals Hearts, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock all dropped points on the same day.

He said: "We're not taking our chances and we're not producing the final ball. We're not believing in ourselves at the minute.

"Even with a minute to go, just don't concede and go in at 2-0, but again we switch off and get complacent.

"I don't know if the players think it was easy or not, it's just poor. It's a combination of things, it's frustrating but it's part of football.

"We need to get back to being strong mentally, because that's what we were good at for a long period of time. We're just lacking a little bit of that at the minute."
