SFA charges Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci over alleged bite

The Scottish Football Association has charged Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci over his alleged bite on Dundee midfielder Jim McAlister.

Ciftci is accused of biting McAlister's leg during the Dundee derby on the final day of the Scottish Premiership season last month.

The Turk scored twice in the match to help the Arabs to a 3-0 win, but he might now be given a hefty ban by the SFA.

The 23-year-old has until next Thursday to respond to the charge.
