Pressley out of the running for Terrors job

Former Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has ruled himself out of the running for the vacant Dundee United job.

The 41-year-old, who spent three years at Tannadice Park during his playing career, said that his plan is to find another club to manage in England.

"I know there's an interest there," he told BBC Sport. "But I don't want to come back to Scotland at this moment.

"I have built up a very good reputation in England and I have a burning desire to manage at the elite level.

"That's not an arrogance. That's a belief. In order to do that, I think you have to manage in a country like England."

Pressley was sacked by Coventry in February when the club dropped into the League One relegation zone.

The Terrors are seeking a new manager after parting company with Jackie McNamara earlier this week.
