Jackie McNamara relieved by Dundee United victory

Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara urges his players to be more "streetwise" following their 3-2 win over Ross County.

Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara has admitted his relief after seeing his side earn a narrow 3-2 win at Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.

United led 3-0 at Victoria Park last night before two late goals from the home team set up a tense finish.

However, the visitors were able to hold on to claim three important points and move up to second place in the table.

"Great credit to [Ross County], they kept going and gave everything they had. They made it an exciting 10 minutes for everybody here apart from myself and our players and the fans," McNamara is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"The most important thing was the three points. We just think at times we have to be a bit more streetwise when we are 3-0 up and not give any encouragement to the opposition."

Dundee are back in action next Saturday when they entertain Aberdeen in the league.
