Derby County are understood to be lining up an official bid for Nottingham Forest striker Dexter Blackstock.
The two sides meet at Pride Park in the Championship on Saturday.
County are expected to make an offer for the 26-year-old following the encounter between the local rivals, according to Sky Sports News.
Blackstock, who will be a free agent in the summer, recently admitted that he was keen to stay at Forest.
