Derby County pair Tom Ince, Steve McClaren up for monthly Championship awards

Derby County dominate the Championship awards as Tom Ince and Steve McClaren are nominated for Player of the Month and Manager of the Month respectively.

Derby County forward Tom Ince and his boss Steve McClaren are on the shortlist for Championship Player of the Month and Manager of the Month respectively for November.

Ince netted four goals in three games, while McClaren, who returned to the Rams in October, oversaw a 100% winning run last month to push the club to ninth in the table.

Birmingham City goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is also up for the award after keeping out a number of potential goals, particularly in the 1-0 win over Bristol City when he was nursing a broken nose, while Steve Sidwell is in contention following an influential display during Brighton & Hove Albion's unbeaten run.

After nabbing his first ever hat-trick in a 5-2 victory over Barnsley, Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury has also made the shortlist for Player of the Month.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is in the running for the managerial gong after his team took seven points in November, which helped the club to 15th in the table.

Owen Coyle could be rewarded for pushing Blackburn Rovers out of the drop zone and ending Newcastle United's unbeaten run with a 1-0 victory at St James' Park.

Reading boss Jaap Stam completes the shortlist after his team took maximum points from all three games in November and moved up to third in the standings.
