Derby County first-team coach Inigo Idiakez leaves the club following the incident that led to manager Nigel Pearson being suspended.

Derby County first-team coach Inigo Idiakez has left the club following manager Nigel Pearson's suspension.

News broke yesterday that former Leicester City boss Pearson had been banned by the club pending an internal investigation into his behaviour.

Assistant manager Chris Powell oversaw last night's match against Cardiff City, which Derby won 2-0 to end an eight-match winless streak and climb out of the relegation zone.

The club have made no further comment on the situation with Pearson, but Idiakez has now parted company with the Rams following the incident that led to the suspension.

Pearson is currently still the manager at the iPro Stadium, although it is understood that he will not return to the club.
