Nigel Clough impressed by "mature" Will Hughes

Derby County manager Nigel Clough has predicted that youngster Will Hughes will enjoy a strong season with the Championship club.

The 18-year-old burst into the side during the last campaign, impressing enough to be linked with a move to the Premier League.

"His form was incredibly mature all season long last year and we're sure that'll be the case next year," Clough told the club's official website.

"Summing up the last year, Will has been incredible and an absolute revelation to be honest. We really expect him to start this season even better as well."

Derby are currently in 12th place in the Championship table following four points from their first three games.
