Half-Time Report: No goals at Deportivo

Deportivo La Coruna and Real Valladolid have finished their first half goalless in an evenly-matched opening 45 minutes.

Deportivo had the brighter start, Aythami forcing the Valladolid defence to make a block inside the opening two minutes.

The home side continued to fire in the shots, but it was over 30 minutes before they had an effort on target, when Riki forced Daniel Hernandez into action with a strike from just outside the box.

Oscar looked threatening for the visitors, finding gaps all over the hosts' defence, and calling German Lux in to action in the Deportivo goal on more than one occasion.

Riki had a chance just before half time, but like Deportivo's earlier efforts, the strike was off-target.
