A late goal from Chris Pontius has secured an away victory for DC United against New England Revolution.
New England started brightly and were rewarded for their early efforts as they took the lead in the sixth minute.
Saer Sene produced a dangerous cross and Jose Moreno was on hand as he finished accurately to break the deadlock.
DC United responded well to the early setback and found the leveller in the 19th minute as Maicon Santos headed in from Dwayne De Rosario's teasing corner.
In a fairly open match, both sides continued to create openings but chances were wasted on a number of occasions.
The match carried on in the same fashion until deep into the second half when the ball fell to Chris Pontius, who placed his shot in to the top corner to give DC United the dramatic win.
