Dallas grab Walker Zimmerman in seventh MLS pick

Dallas have snatched Furman forward Walker Zimmerman in the seventh pick of the MLS SuperDraft.

The Major League Soccer side have clinched Zimmerman, who was considered a top pick for the draft that is being held in Indianapolis.

Zimmerman was said to be one of three quality attackers on the board, with Eriq Zavaleta and Mikey Lopez also up for grabs.

Dallas made their decision after Colorado took UCF forward Deshorn Brown in the sixth pick, while New England snatched defender Andrew Farrell in the first pick.

Toronto FC have claimed Canadian midfielder Kyle Bekker.
