Tomas Rosicky denied starting spot with Achilles injury

Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky will reportedly not be included in the side's starting lineup against Portugal tonight due to an Achilles injury.

Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky is unlikely to start tonight's Euro 2012 quarter-final clash with Portugal.

The Arsenal midfielder has been a doubt for the match after picking up an Achilles injury during the Czechs' 2-1 win over Greece last Tuesday.

It is understood that Rosicky will not start this evening's game, despite reports that the 31-year-old had returned to training yesterday, according to Czech TV channel CT.

Tonight's match kicks off the quarter-finals of the tournament with Germany against Greece due to go ahead tomorrow.
