Crystal Palace 'to announce Scott Dann new deal on Monday'

Crystal Palace are reportedly expected to announce that Scott Dann has signed a new contract on Monday.

Dann had been linked with a move to Everton this summer, but the Croydon Advertiser claims that a contract extension has been agreed with the former Blackburn Rovers centre-half.

The 28-year-old played 45 minutes of a pre-season friendly at Barnet on Saturday, but was not allowed to discuss his new deal with the media after the game.

However, it is thought that both the player and the club have reached an agreement to extend Dann's stay at Selhurst Park.

Dann joined Palace from Blackburn in 2014.
