Pulis aware of "tough job" at Palace

New Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has admitted that it will be a "tough job" to keep the club in the Premier League.

The 55-year-old Welshman, who left Stoke City in the summer, agreed to take charge at Selhurst Park over the weekend.

Despite the team earning only their second win of the season on Saturday, Pulis understands that avoiding relegation will not be easy.

"It's going to be a tough job and I've not come in with any illusions, but looking at what has happened in the few years at the football club the chairman needs to be applauded," he told reporters.

"I like climbing hills and this is going to be a tough job but one that I'll relish."

Pulis will manage Palace for the first time on Saturday when they travel to Norwich City in the Premier League.
